and it’s hello to them

And amongst all the ceremony, singers, former Presidents, new President and Vice President, miltary, elected representatives and clergy was twenty two year old Amanda Gorman, the youngest poet ever to perform at a presidential inauguration. Her poem was titled The Hill We Climb.

The new dawn blooms as we free it.
For there is always light,
if only we’re brave enough to see it.
If only we’re brave enough to be it.
