Claw-back becomes reality

The Westminster Tory Government has written to the Scottish and Welsh Governments to ask for legislative consent over a dozen areas where the EU Withdrawal Agreement Bill changes (that is claws back) devolved powers. The bill received its second reading today in the House of Commons. The Scottish Government has already said it will not give its consent.

So it is expected the Tory Government will again show its contempt for the devolved governments and overrule them. This is the beginning of a dark period for democracy in the UK.
